I don't know how and if it's possible, however the U.S. wants the dollar to remain strong, while China's currency appreciates so that the balance of payments is evened out, or the U.S's current account deficit is at least reduced considerably. If the Chinese currency appreciates, that would mean that their consumer demand would increase and with a billion people that would be disastrous. Have we forgotten about $4 gas prices, naturally the cost of consumer goods in US will increase if China appreciates their currency and increases their consumer demand. Personally, I think we should allow our currency to decrease in value, it would promote global economic stability (and yes at the our cost) but it's the only way. China's GDP is still less than ours, so their per-capita GDP is at least 3X worse than ours meaning that living standards there are still very very bad despite the huge amounts of economic growth. If our currency decreased in value, it would slow their economy down, however if they maintain their policy of keeping their currency value low, then the China would still have substantial growth thus improving living standards there. Us Americans need to stop being greedy and we need to allow other countries such as India and China improve their living standards. Truth be told, the U.S. has practically lost their competitive and comparative advantages in nearly every sector. There isn't much that specifically unique to the US aside from Apple and our pitiful GMs and Fords.

watch it with all that oil!! if it doesn't NEED oil ,, DON'T add any just to try and start it,, that is the wrong way to do it!!!!! check the oil and if there is too much remove some.... then to fix your problem,,, since you said you noticed smoke coming out you may have hit something and broke the shear pin!! this may allow the machine to get out of tune and the valves will not be opening and closing in proper sequence,,, you have to take of the rope coil y and then the fin and magnet y.. on the shaft you should see a groove,, and in the hole in the fin head,,,this is where the shear pin goes,, check yours when you take it apart and see if its been cut...other wise the blade may have been twisted on the shaft,, just a little and this could also affect the timing!!

Protestants: Communion vs. Eucharist?

I'm a Christian and have been to just a/b every Church you can imagine. Baptist, Church of Christ, Lutheran, Anglican and so on. Growing up my family wasn't religious. They believed in God and Jesus and that's about where it ended, there wasn't much in the theology part, mostly spiritual. I have always craved God's Word and the knowledge and wisdom of it. I always felt communion was very important, it's a yearning in my heart for it. So I was always confused when some Churches didn't regularly practice communion. I started going to an Anglican Church and was very happy they have communion, the Eucharist weekly. Although I am not sure how I feel about the actual bread & wine becoming the Blood and Body of Christ. I have found some great arguments and insight that uphold that belief that seem pretty credible and common sense when readinf God's Word. But for the Protestant side I have found very little to uphold their belief that Jesus was speaking metaphorically. I want to know both sides clearly and I feel that I know the catholic side really well, but I have not heard the Protestant side as well as I would like. So I would love to have Protestants give me clearly their side of communion and why you believe Jesus was speaking metaphorically. Thank you!

Is making the change from working to being a SAHM difficult?

I am expecting my first child in Dec. and i am worried about staying home and not working. I have had a job of some sort since i was 16 years old. Look everyone goes through this, when your 14 you feel pressured to look good and one of the simplest things to do is loose weight, but there's only some girls who have the will power to do it, but it can turn nasty. At first you plan to do it to be healthy but it soon grabs hold of you and brings you in deeper and deeper that you just can't get out of the habit and even though you say to yourself "I'm gonna stop when I get to 105 lbs", when you reach it, you just want to loose more and more. You need to snap out of it before you become obsessed, forget about whether you're anorexic, you need to focus on not even becoming that. Eat healthy and excersise but it's not the end of the world if you sometimes over indulge or you miss a day of running. Just make sure your happy and don't let this awful thing get a hold of you.

Why does this happen? I hate it and I hate that I can't control it!?

I don't know why, but randomly i get so mad I can't even describe it. It makes any noise that I don't want to hear makes me want to punch somebody, it makes te simplest movement make me want to kick the mover, and it over all makes me so mad. I was open minded about moving here but after living here for a year it's just not me. The Cleveland market suits our careers and we really enjoy the community (entertainment;great friends;sports). I have a ton of potential to do well in my career there and I have lot of close friends. She too would also would flourish becasue she knows the area, is in agreat field that Cleveland promotes and has her friends and family there as well. So I am being patient and supporting her but whenever we talk about moving back it creates huge argument like I am taking her away from her family and I am being selfish. I am only thinking of the future for us and raising a family is something we both agree on. All my reasons are valid like earning potential for both of us, proxiemty to our parents (45 min (hers) to 1h 30min (mine). I have no problem traveling on the weekends to visit with her sisters in Cincy and I would do anything for them. But living here doesn't excite me. I feel like she is trapping me here even though she said she is not. I anticipate her pulling the plug on our dreams and it is discouraging me. And to top it all off, we are getting married next year in Cleveland and it's creating a lot of stress and axiety during a time in our lives that should happy. Well, we've been together for an year now. But the last 5 months we lived apart, since he now works and lives 600 km away from me, from where i study. I used to live in his same town before. I got electrocuted when I was young. I guess that was 9 years ago. An open wire, connected directly from a 220v voltage source, got stuck on my finger which caused it to burn my skin and my flesh. It took more or less a minute before I was able to pull the wire off from my finger. I was lucky to survive but I didn't go to see a doctor because I thought I was okay. But as my age comes, I noticed some abnormalities in me. Aside from the scars I had from burning, I felt some changes. I could see clearly at daytime, but I get blind at night (when light is limited). I get nauseous and afraid when I step down from stairs when it's dim. For almost 3 months I had no period at all. I thought for sure I was pregnant although several home tests said not. I went to the Dr. to have bloodwork done, as an official check. Not pregnant. The Dr. then issued me a pill to help start my periods again. I never picked up the prescription because two days later my period started on it's own. The only problem is, my period lasted for almost 3 and a half weeks! I should be getting my period again in the next 3 to 5 days (if it remains normal) so I'm trying to hold off on another Dr. visit. Anybody have any ideas of what could be wrong? Thanks!

What's the difference between community college and vocational school?

Hi there, well i am currently attending my local community college, it's my second semester there. I don't have a major at the moment and i don't want to take required cles because that will get me nowhere with choosing a major, (like i have been doing). Plus i am academically slow, i just can't seem to concentrate in cl, (never have been). I also don't want to waste money either, if i have no idea in what i want to major in. So my question is would a vocational school be best for me? I heard it teaches you real skills and you won't have to got through all those cles just like community college. I really don't want to go through four to five years of school rather i would prefer to go one to two years. Also what is the cost difference, is one cheaper than the other? Thanks!

Exposing children to music, books and less TV at a young age may make them smarter?

Most kids now are completely consumed with TV and WOW on the computer all the time. I was reading that constant TV watching causes the neurons in the brain to rewire so it's hard for kids to do critical thinking and focus ON ONE THING. Could this be why ADHD is so high and rising in America? At the same time learning new things like piano and frequent reading causes new pathways of neurons to be formed that allow them to literally be smarter and solve problems easier--especially if they are learning at a young age. Do you think as a parent if you created a "no fail environment" with things like Piano and music to be played in free time that you would ultimately have "smarter kids"? Many people here are probably thinking that's just cruel; it is not cruel, if you create a no fail environment where the TV is nowhere to be found they will enjoy things like reading, playing instruments, and getting exercise.

Dream about killing someone with garden shears?

I had this dream earlier today when i was having a catnap. First the dream started off pretty normal just me and like three ppl standing around talking. Then somebody got pissed off and cut some guys throat with some rusty garden shears. Its weird because at first i was watching him- then i became him and i was watching myself in the corner and the look on my face was completely not caring. It was almost as if i was encouraging my alter ego. And the most disturbing part of this was when i ws killing him i remember thinking"why do people always try to fall on u when they die are they just trying to be a pain?" I am a 296 pound person. I went to a nutritionist last week and since then I have changed my diet to his opinion. I have currently started walking around the lake for 45 minutes after work because I cannot do much because I wear prosthetic legs. For breakfast I eat cereal or oatmeal. For lunch I eat brown rice, vegetables, beans and yogurt along with a handful of some pistachios or almonds. For dinner I have eaten a cup of brown rice , cup of vegetables or beans or on occasion some of amys organic frozen meals or maybe a veggy burger. As a late night snack maybe a weight watchers frozen treat or the baby bannanas dunked in dairy free chocolate bc he wants me to have a after dinner snack. I am not sure if this is wrong or should I be exercise after I eat also? The nutrionist who has his own book and much success with others I know pushes the 70% starch diet because the rest of the world eats similar. Please any advice helps.

I am about to enter my junior year of high school. My goal is to get into an ivy league school. I have consistently maintained a 98-100 average for my first two years and receive high 90s in all cles. I also take all honors cles and have taken the maximum number of APs for my junior year. I have yet to take the SATs/ACTs. My main concern is there are virtually no extra-curriculars I have interest in at my school. Boot into Safe Mode by pressing(tapping) the F8 or the DELETE key depending on your computer. Select Safe Mode With Networking. Go to Control Panel and then Add/Remove Programs and uninstall any old anti-virus or spyware programs you have installed. Then reboot the computer and boot back into Safe Mode. (Make sure you are not connected to the internet). Disable any firewall you have running and then install the Anti Virus software and perform a full scan of the computer (don't) bother updating now you will do it later). Next install the anti-spyware program and scan for spyware. After you are done. reboot the computer normally. Hope this helps!

My contacts make my eyes red?

I put my contacts in around the time I get up in the morning around 5:40 and I get up at 5. I have colored contacts so they aren't for medical use. I've only worn my contacts twice and this has happened to me each time. Things to do if you have no friends?

I am 16 I have never had any friends ever even in Elementary school. I have never been invited to parties or even to hang out with people. I am very nice and I always try to help people. Are the Atlanta Falcons finally starting that great dynasty they've been looking for all of these years?

I like your optimism. However, I am going to respectfully disagree. I think what the Falcons have done is a tremendous turn around from the early and mid 2000's especially after Michael Vick. Getting a new head coach was definitely a great start, and having a disciplined coach is indeed a plus. I do like what Matt Ryan has done since he started, and I like what Michael Turner has been able to add in addition to Roddy White playing at the MVP level. But despite all of that, I just don't know that the Falcons are ready to take it all of the way to the super bowl. The Falcons have improved, and yes they do look like they can contend in the playoffs. But realistically there are other teams that look better in all phases. The Eagles seem to be playing very well right now on both offense and defense. Also note, the Saints are playing as if they weren't in the super bowl last season. The Falcons have talent, and yes they have made changes in personnel and players. But to be a true "dynasty" and champion then there must be some sort of dominance. Sure the Falcons are winning games, but I want to see if they can beat the tough teams. Can the Falcons beat the Eagles if they both get to the NFC championship game? The Falcons barely beat the Saints by three points and they lost to the Eagles 31-17. Sorry to say but I disagree with you. Thermostat temperature... 68 degrees vs 74?

I like the warmth. I keep my thermostat at 68 degrees when I'm home and sometimes I'm still a bit on the cold side. Am I going to see a big difference on my gas bill if I keep the thermostat at 74 vs keeping it at 68? I have a boiler (water/radiant heat) for the record. The way I'm thinking of this I shouldn't see a big difference. If the boiler is on long enough to raise the temperature only 1 or 2 degrees, I don't see how raising from 66 to 68 or 72 to 74 degrees would be much different. I know the temp outside will have a slight effect but I'm just curious if anyone can give me some info based on past experiences. Thanks!

When I was younger (about 20 years ago!) there were these little pots of liquid plastic in clear bottles that you could use to decorate t-shirts/fabric. If I remember rightly, you could also use them on plastic, mirror and gl. They came in a whole range of colours and the bottles were about the size of nail varnish bottles but made of plastic not gl. You turned the bottles upside down and squeezed slightly and the thick liquid would come out through a hole in the top. You could draw or write with them. You have to go out and find opportunities yourself as well, look on the Internet for auditions, apply to audition and do your best. If you are accepted, the chances are more well known actors/actresses and agents are there also. The best you can do is send loads of resumes out and get your name out there. Just try your best and persevere, itl pay off eventually :)

I think he is causing more racial tension. Mostly by not acknowledging that what reverend Wright said was Hate Speech and that it was RACIST. The simple acknowledgment that black people can be racists and should be held to the same standard of racial sensitivity as white people would go a long way to bridging the gap. But Obama refused to do that. He tried to justify Wrights RACISM by blaming the history of this country. We are not our ancestors and should not be judged for what they did. If racial equality is truly the goal, it has to go both ways. Racism is wrong and ought to be condemned. But it should be condemned equally regardless of the race of the racist. And that is what is creating the division. White people feel that they are being punished for racism, whether they are racist or not, and non-whites are allowed to be as racist as they want and it is accepted. The double standard is intolerable. My only wish is for all races to be treated equally.

Don't try to compare Metro State with other Colorado schools because you'll only be falling into the trap of feeling insecure and looking down on other 'smaller' schools. You do not want to become like that. It doesn't matter if you graduated from Boulder or UCD or Metro State or Adams State or Community College of Aurora - if people look down on you for what college you graduated from, they're being pretty silly. Do not become like them, and continue to enjoy your job and your success.

i know what you feel like! i used to worry too much whenever my friends would fall out. i used to feel sick in my stomach and i'd think about it all night. the only way to make it go away is to make up with your friend... talk to them, say im really worried about what you said and it really upset me. then sort it all out. trust me you will better once its all been discussed and the issue can be put to the side. i used to be really ocd with organisation and my life but once i got older i just became more laid back and relaxed really... i cant really explain how but i just kind of grew out of ocd, if that makes sense. good luck with your friend though and enjoy your holiday!

Questions about pedicures/toenails.?

For the past 3 months, I've been getting pedicures every 2 weeks. My last one was about two weeks ago and I got a plum colored nail polish. I just took it off this morning, and my toenails are yellow. I know it's not a fungus or infection because I know what those look like and the place I go to uses every imaginable precaution. ok to start off... im 22 years old and im 16 weeks pregnant. this is my 4th pregnancy but i only have one daughter and one child on the way.. ok so to get started, for the past few months {about 2 months or so} I've been experiencing shortness of breath and a racing heartbeat. i only get it when in the mornings or when i walk up the stairs or walk around or do anything strenuous. in my past pregnancies i did have slight anemia but with this one the heart racing, out of breath feeling, dizziness sometimes is just crazy! i dont feel like ping out or anything but when my heart races it doesnt stop for like 5-10 mins sometimes. i went to the ER the other day and they did a cardiogram to see if my heart rythums were fine and they are. i've also read around that in some pregnancies women do get this out of breath feeling and their heart races a bit due to the increase of blood in their bodies. so my question is, are these normal symptoms or pregnancy or does this sound like anemia or something else? those are my only symptoms. thanks for your help!
