My contacts make my eyes red?

I put my contacts in around the time I get up in the morning around 5:40 and I get up at 5. I have colored contacts so they aren't for medical use. I've only worn my contacts twice and this has happened to me each time. I can wear my contacts till around 730 to 8 o clock before my eyes start to get red and teary and wearing my contacts becomes unbearable. I take them out and my eyes return to normal. I properly store them and use a cleaning solution to keep them very clean. Anyone have an idea on why this keeps happening to me!?
